I don't know what I'm doing with my life, and I think that is supposed to be the whole point.
Hi.
It's been a minute. Hope you're alive, and as well as can be in 2026. From time to time, I fall off the face of the planet, and tend to only what needs immediate tending. I spent a lot of my summer doing just that. Following a winding path of surviving, but trying desperately to thrive.
My entire life I've wanted to know. To understand. To forge my own path with complete and utter surety that I was doing what I was supposed to. As you can imagine, that's been quite distressing.
When I was an executive assistant, I remember being so mad when I wasn't invited to meetings. How dare there be information that I wasn't privy to. The AUDACITY. And I've brought that energy forward. My need to know has led me to burnout many times. This was different.
I've come to a bit of an impasse with my career. I have some work, but not enough to keep me appropriately busy. Busy and challenging enough to keep the horrors of my ADHD at bay. Busy enough that I feel challenged, and like I know where I'm going. Over the summer, that was fine. I quite enjoyed flitting about like a fairy. But I can't deny that I'm bored, and being bored is very bad for my mental health.
I spent the summer looking inward. I also spent it trying some new things that didn't pan out the way I hoped. I had an interview, and a job offer, that were turned down and received a thumbs up in response to me declining, which solidified my reasons for turning it down.
The problem is, even with knowing those things were wrong for me, they didn't land me any closer to knowing what is right for me.
I'm 38. I'm too young to be fully retired, too ill to work full time in office, and too talented to be this underutilized. I think I speak for so many of us right now when I say: this fucking sucks.
So what am I doing?
Mostly just creating art. Nothing that will ever make me an Artist. But things to keep my hands busy. I've been very into paper mache as of late.
I keep my neighbors stocked with zinnia bouquets.
hosted my first artsy workshop, and don't know if I'll do another, but it was a good experience.
I've read some books.
I've helped friends.
I hosted a garden party of a friend running for city council.
And I'm looking forward to fall, and finding it in me to trying again. To putting out feelers, and seeing if anything is a good fit. To letting myself have the opportunity to gather data, without the pressure of needing something immediately.
Basically, learning all over again that I can't control life. I can't white-knuckle my way through things. I don't control the world. All I can do is give opportunity more chances to hit me.
And for that, I'm offering One Problem Solved.
One Problem Solved
30 minutes. One problem. $99.
I don’t know exactly what I’m doing with my life right now. But I do know I’m very good at helping people solve problems.
So, while I give opportunity more chances to hit me, I’m opening up a small number of 30-minute sessions.
Bring me one specific problem that has been irritating you, slowing you down, or taking up far more space in your brain than it deserves. We’ll spend 30 minutes untangling it and figuring out what to do.
It might be:
- A decision you keep going back and forth on
- A process that is harder than it needs to be
- A piece of technology that isn’t doing what you want
- An offer, idea, or project you can’t quite shape
- A difficult email or conversation you need to prepare for
- A task you’ve been avoiding because you don’t know where to begin
- A small but persistent problem that doesn’t fit neatly into anyone else’s job description
This isn’t therapy or coaching, and it isn’t a sneak attack discovery call designed to sell you something more expensive.
It’s 30 minutes of my full attention, pattern recognition, practical problem-solving, and willingness to ask the question everyone else has skipped.
You bring one problem. We work on it together. You leave with a solution, a decision, or a clear next move.
30 minutes. $99 CAD. One less thing taking up space in your head.
